So we have been super busy the past few months with Rob graduating med school, selling our house (keep your fingers crossed, we’re under contract…hoping everything goes well for our closing), and moving from South Carolina to Virginia. So naturally, the blog got neglected and I have a million pictures that I want to post. I will have to post them in installments, because most of them are still on the camera waiting to be put on the computer and edited! Here are a few pictures from Easter (yes, its been THAT long). We went to Rob’s parents’ house in Sumter, SC and enjoyed a great Easter weekend.

Pictures of Adeline
Adeline is learning something new everyday! She’s not crawling yet, but she loves to roll around to get to where she wants to be. She has 4 teeth and is just learning to chew little bits of food. She is also very good at picking stuff out of the carpet…Gob is always tracking in little bits of leaves so I guess we need to vacuum daily now! She also babbles up a storm! It is so cute to hear her talk. She is generally very happy (unless she’d cutting a tooth) and always making cute new faces that make us laugh. We love you baby girl!
Match Day!!!
Warning…very long post…but it has LOTS of pictures!
Rob is officially finished with Medical School!!! He had his last day of work yesterday and we couldn’t be more excited. The real excitement began on match day (March 18) when all the 4th year med students find out where they matched for residency. The theme was “marathon” and the whole day seemed like a marathon! We started out at a brunch with friends at Andrew and Jessica’s house.
Notice Rob’s long hair in this first picture. The brunch quickly turned into a contest to see which guy could make their hair look the nastiest. Of course, Rob wanted a mullet…it was pretty nasty!
But don’t worry, he wasn’t the only crazy one…
The brunch was pretty crazy in itself, and this is what came out of it. (Yes, these guys are all going to officially be doctors in May). Here are a couple more photos from the morning, in case you haven’t thrown up in your mouth yet…
Dr. Egbert…Radiologist, Dr. Johnsen…Pathologist, Dr. Parker…Urologist, Dr. Loftis…OB/GYN, Dr. Powell…Urologist, Dr. Woodbury…Radiologist, Dr. Wilkin…Ophthalmologist
After the brunch we all headed over to MCG to the official celebration. We were all in the the big auditorium as the deans pulled letters randomly, and called out each person’s name to go find out where they matched for residency. The mood was crazy, with everyone yelling, cheering, hugging, and a lot of nervous waiting. It was so crazy that neither Rob nor I even heard his name get called, but luckily our friends heard it and sent him up to get his letter. He took Adeline up with him for good luck and then came back to open his letter with us.
So nervous…where could it be????
Radiology at his #1 choice, MUSC in Charleston, SC and Transition year in Newport News Virginia!! And the excitement continued as we watched our friends find out their matches…
Everyone was VERY happy with their matches, and we even matched at the same transitional year as our friends Garrett and Hannah! We are so excited to be moving up there with people we know! There was a lunch after the program and then we all headed up to our house to hang out and enjoy the relief of not having to wonder anymore.
And now, a few more photos from match day.
It was a great day and we celebrated with great friends. Rob’s mom was even able to come down and celebrate with us. We are still in shock that Rob got Charleston and Newport News and can’t wait see what is in store for us there.

7 months
Adeline’s new tricks:
1. twirling her tongue (she definitely gets this from me as Rob tries and tries and tries and cannot seem to figure this trick out! I can do it with no trouble at all)
2. wolfing down solid food at record speeds
3. splashing like crazy in the bathtub
4. producing massive quantities of snot
And here are some recent pictures of our sweetie-pie!

Father of the Year Award
So I walked into Adeline’s room the other day to get her out of her crib and I noticed her clothes looked a little funny. Rob had just finished changing her diaper. As I looked at her ensemble a little closer, I realized that Rob hadn’t buttoned up her onsie, but just left it out of her pants like a normal shirt. Then I looked at her pants and realized that he had put both of her legs into the same pant leg! I wish I got a picture of this but I felt so bad for her little stuck feet that I fixed her clothes real quick. Rob and I both got a good laugh out of this one. Sometimes he can be slightly absent-minded.
I will post some recent Adeline photos soon!

6 Month Update
Adeline is now 6 months old and seems to be learning new tricks everyday. She has started to sit up on her own and can usually stay up for about 10-20 seconds before face planting :) We have also started to give her solid food, which she really enjoys. She also enjoys chewing on her toes, and anything else she can find to put in her mouth. She just had her first tooth cut through a few days ago, and she is having a rough time with it. She loves it when we sing to her, bounce her, tickle her and let her grab our faces (she is getting a very strong grip though, so we probably won’t be allowing this much longer!). She loves to “pet” Gob too…he’s so good and puts up with her, he really doesn’t have much interest in her at all. She does not like tummy time very much and usually rolls to her back within 1 minute of putting her on her stomach. I hope this means she won’t be crawling any time soon. I like that she is still immobile! That’s not to say that she will stay that way for long. She’s pretty squirmy and doesn’t usually like to be cuddled or restricted in any way. She’s just so curious and always wants to see what’s going on. I have a feeling she’ll be one of those early walkers. She is still as cute as ever and we feel truly blessed to have this precious spirit as part of our family.
Little Bo-Peep (this sweater and hat was made by my grandma when my sisters and I were little).
The dry winter weather was killing us all…the static electricity really liked Adeline’s hair!
