Pictures of Adeline

DSC_0088 DSC_0364 DSC_0369

Adeline is learning something new everyday!  She’s not crawling yet, but she loves to roll around to get to where she wants to be.  She has 4 teeth and is just learning to chew little bits of food.  She is also very good at picking stuff out of the carpet…Gob is always tracking in little bits of leaves so I guess we need to vacuum daily now!  She also babbles up a storm!  It is so cute to hear her talk.  She is generally very happy (unless she’d cutting a tooth) and always making cute new faces that make us laugh.  We love you baby girl!

Match Day!!!

Warning…very long post…but it has LOTS of pictures!

Rob is officially finished with Medical School!!!  He had his last day of work yesterday and we couldn’t be more excited.  The real excitement began on match day (March 18) when all the 4th year med students find out where they matched for residency.  The theme was “marathon” and the whole day seemed like a marathon!  We started out at a brunch with friends at Andrew and Jessica’s house.

IMG_2555Notice Rob’s long hair in this first picture.  The brunch quickly turned into a contest to see which guy could make their hair look the nastiest.  Of course, Rob wanted a mullet…it was pretty nasty!

The brunch was pretty crazy in itself, and this is what came out of it.  (Yes, these guys are all going to officially be doctors in May). IMG_2579Here are a couple more photos from the morning, in case you haven’t thrown up in your mouth yet…

After the brunch we all headed over to MCG to the official celebration.  We were all in the the big auditorium as the deans pulled letters randomly, and called out each person’s name to go find out where they matched for residency.  The mood was crazy, with everyone yelling, cheering, hugging, and a lot of nervous waiting.  It was so crazy that neither Rob nor I even heard his name get called, but luckily our friends heard it and sent him up to get his letter.  He took Adeline up with him for good luck and then came back to open his letter with us.

So nervous…where could it be????

IMG_2592Radiology at his #1 choice, MUSC in Charleston, SC and Transition year in Newport News Virginia!!  And the excitement continued as we watched our friends find out their matches…

IMG_2588 IMG_2593 IMG_2595 IMG_2604 IMG_2610 Everyone was VERY happy with their matches, and we even matched at the same transitional year as our friends Garrett and Hannah!  We are so excited to be moving up there with people we know!  There was a lunch after the program and then we all headed up to our house to hang out and enjoy the relief of not having to wonder anymore.

IMG_2583 And now, a few more photos from match day.

IMG_2612 IMG_2624 IMG_2617 IMG_2628 IMG_2625 IMG_2623It was a great day and we celebrated with great friends.  Rob’s mom was even able to come down and celebrate with us. We are still in shock that Rob got Charleston and Newport News and can’t wait see what is in store for us there.

7 months

Adeline’s new tricks:

1.  twirling her tongue (she definitely gets this from me as Rob tries and tries and tries and cannot seem to figure this trick out!  I can do it with no trouble at all)

2.  wolfing down solid food at record speeds

3.  splashing like crazy in the bathtub

4.  producing massive quantities of snot

And here are some recent pictures of our sweetie-pie!
