We had a great day on Saturday with our friends Hannah and Garrett. We went to a pumpkin patch and enjoyed what might be the last nice day we could spend at the beach without sweatshirts. We took tons of pictures, played bocce ball, and relaxed (as much as possible) while the kids ran around and played in the sand. Then to top it all off, we came home and had a delicious fish dinner! So glad we were able to take advantage of the beautiful weather and have fun with great friends.

Adeline and the iPad
Adeline and her favorite toy! She LOVES to play the baby apps and watch Netflix on the iPad (or iPhone).
PS…yes, she is wearing boy pajamas. I decided that since we’re having a boy, there’s really no point in buying Adeline a bunch of girly pajamas that Bobby won’t wear, so now she only gets uni-sex or boy pajamas that can be used again. I think they’re really cute on her!
And here is my solution to the shower problem (for now). A few of you recommended an exersaucer, but we don’t have one, so the crib+the iPad=very entertained child. We moved her crib down to the lowest setting so she won’t be able to climb out, but now its really hard for me to get her in and out with my big belly!

My Baby is Growing Up!
So I just about had a heart attack a few minutes ago. I keep the pack-and-play in the office and put Adeline in there to play while I mess around on the computer each morning. She usually plays nicely by herself in there for about a half hour before whining to get out. Well I just turned around to see her balancing half-way over the edge of the pack-and-play, about a centimeter from falling out head first. I would have taken a picture, except I was so scared she was going to fall on her head that I grabbed her down immediately. And its not like she's really tall or anything. She is actually still pretty small for her age, she’s just a very good climber. I guess I can’t put her in the pack-and-play unattended anymore. And to make it worse, I have finally given in and she is now only taking one nap a day. So now I have no idea what to do with her while I’m in the shower. I used to shower during her morning nap, but now that she doesn’t take a morning nap, I’ve been putting her in the pack-and-play while I shower. I can’t leave her in the bathroom while I shower because there is too much stuff for her to get into (we don’t have much storage space at our house, so the bathroom cabinets are not child friendly). I’m pretty sure she can’t climb out of her crib yet, so I guess I’ll try that for a while. Any moms out there, please feel free to clue me in to what to do with a 15 month old while you shower.

Funny things Adeline does lately
Here are a few things that Adeline has done lately that have just made us laugh, so I thought I’d share.
She is just starting to walk everywhere and she has two walking positions: one with her arms out in a T for balance, and one with both her hands holding her boobies! It’s very cute.
Rob was chewing bubble gum the other day while holding Adeline and he blew a bubble, thinking she would like it, but instead she burst out crying! She is scared of bubble gum! Every bubble he blew made her either cry or shake with fear, and it wasn’t just when the bubbles popped, she was scared of the actual bubble. Weird…
She loves to lift up my shirt to find my belly button and poke it in (it definitely sticks out with pregnancy).
Adeline comes up to me and grabs my legs and likes to play peek-a-boo from under my big belly. She “hides” by burying her face in my legs and then leans back until she can see my over the big bump!
She is just discovering her tongue and is always trying to lick things. I had her in the shopping cart the other day and I noticed she was trying to lick the handle so I put my hand in the way and she just kept looking around the cart for something to lick (just looking around with her tongue hanging out of her mouth). Other things she likes to lick: sand at the beach, her food (she likes to eat it like a dog), her lips, anything that is close by when she notices she has a tongue.

I miss blogging everyday!
Now that I’ve finished my 50 days of blogging, I miss writing each day. This is good though, because I was hoping to keep up with my blog after I finished the 50 days and so I hope you’re not too sick of reading my ramblings. So today I will just share a sale with you that I am super excited about.
http://www.winkflash.com/photo-books/
winkflash.com has 60% off their photo books right now. This is really a great deal. I’ve been getting ready to print Adeline’s baby book (it’s almost done!), so I’ve been looking at photo book prices a lot lately. The sale is only good through Oct. 22 though, so you would have to make a book really quickly to get the deal. I’ve never printed a photo book through them before, but we have ordered regular photo prints through them many times and we have always been very impressed with the quality, so we trust the photo books will be nice too! I’m seriously considering locking myself in the office for the next week and making another photo book that I’ve been wanting to get going, just so I can get the awesome deal. We’ll see though! It looks like the shipping might be a bit pricey, but it still comes out cheaper than anywhere else that I’ve seen lately.

Day 46: Photos of personal things in your life, REVISITED!
So this post was a great motivation for me to clean the house (at least a little bit, you’ll notice I didn’t even bother with the office and didn’t even take a picture of our bedroom :) I postponed this one because I wanted to make sure I had current pictures of everything. Now I might have gone overboard on the amount of pictures for this one, but it’s my last of the 50 days of blogging posts, so I might as well go out with a bang!
PS…I was too lazy to edit any of these photos, so they’re not the best quality!
This is our house. It’s cozy and we really like the quiet neighborhood we live in. We live in a cul-de-sac at the back of the neighborhood, so no one really comes back here very much.
Another view of the house and our coveted garage! It is just an oversized storage shed. It is not attached to the house, but there is a little covered walkway, which is nice. Maybe we’ll clean it up and make room for a car in the winter, but the garage door has to be opened manually and propped open with a broom, so it would really be a hassle to open and close. You can also see Rob’s garden next to the car. The cherry tomatoes and some jalapenos are the only things that really grew well. Rob really misses his old garden with the “black gold” soil.
This is what you see when you walk in our front door. Like I said, this house is cozy (aka small).
A couple other views of the front room. The door in the first picture goes to our office and the door in the second picture goes to our bedroom.
Adeline’s new favorite place to play is in this chair. She loves to climb up onto it. She also thinks its funny to try to walk on the chair. Luckily, I’ve been there to stop her before she walks right off!
This is Adeline’s room. We have blankets covering the windows because the sun beats right in her room first thing in the morning. The blankets have given us all a little extra time to sleep in each day. We also have a dresser and our recliner in her room, but its too small to get them in the picture as well.
Our kitchen view from the front door/front room. The entire kitchen is actually pretty big, just not super functional the way it is laid out.
The actual kitchen part of the kitchen. Yes, that is all the shelving and counter space that was here! We brought our island table and the pot rack for a little extra space. This has also become Rob’s laptop work zone.
Here is the back of the kitchen/laundry room/storage room. The shelves you see on the left are completely full of kitchen stuff. We have our deep freezer doubling as a storage shelf as well. Adeline loves to play in the Tupperware boxes, which is a lifesaver while we’re cooking!
This is our office/guest room/future room for Bobby. As you can see, I wasn’t quite motivated enough to clean this room!
Here’s Gob just relaxing on the couch. I think he looks sad in this picture. Probably because it has been raining so much lately, he hasn’t gotten a walk in almost a week! He is super lazy and just sleeps all day until he hears Adeline eating and then he is right by her side waiting for food to be dropped/thrown. He get so excited when I start cleaning her up because he knows he gets whatever crumbs she has left on her tray.
Now for some pictures of Adeline, because really our lives revolve around her completely (especially since I am home with her all day). She just got some new shoes and loves to play with them. Also, isn’t this sweater adorable? It’s finally cooled down and now I can let her wear all her cute fall clothes.
These PJ’s are way too long on her, but a lot of her others are too small now. And another one of her favorite toys, a cereal box. This girl is easily entertained!
Giving her baby doll hugs. It is so cute when she does this! This is her new toy that she got from a friend in our playgroup. He was deathly afraid of it because it makes some loud noises and so his mom gave it to Adeline. She loves it and can now say “ball.” (actually, with the exception of “dada" most words she says sound like “ball”) This is the first toy she gets out every morning after breakfast.
And no list of photos of things in my personal life would be complete without a photo of Rob! This was taken the other day when we were camping, right when we woke up, which explains the messy hair and sleepy looks! I love you, Rob! Thank you for everything you do for me and Adeline and Gob!

Day 41: Whatever Tickles your Fancy; REVISITED
So I finally have a few pics ready to post. These were taken a couple weeks ago when we took Adeline to a petting zoo. It was so cute to watch her with all the animals. She almost crushed the poor baby chick when she was holding it on her own, but he got away without too much damage, I think!
Also, here are some beach shots we took of her as her “one year” photos, even though we were about 3 months late! She absolutely loves the sand and the beach and it was very hard to get her to even look at the camera because all she wanted to do was play.
