Adeline is now 6 months old and seems to be learning new tricks everyday. She has started to sit up on her own and can usually stay up for about 10-20 seconds before face planting :) We have also started to give her solid food, which she really enjoys. She also enjoys chewing on her toes, and anything else she can find to put in her mouth. She just had her first tooth cut through a few days ago, and she is having a rough time with it. She loves it when we sing to her, bounce her, tickle her and let her grab our faces (she is getting a very strong grip though, so we probably won’t be allowing this much longer!). She loves to “pet” Gob too…he’s so good and puts up with her, he really doesn’t have much interest in her at all. She does not like tummy time very much and usually rolls to her back within 1 minute of putting her on her stomach. I hope this means she won’t be crawling any time soon. I like that she is still immobile! That’s not to say that she will stay that way for long. She’s pretty squirmy and doesn’t usually like to be cuddled or restricted in any way. She’s just so curious and always wants to see what’s going on. I have a feeling she’ll be one of those early walkers. She is still as cute as ever and we feel truly blessed to have this precious spirit as part of our family.
Little Bo-Peep (this sweater and hat was made by my grandma when my sisters and I were little).
The dry winter weather was killing us all…the static electricity really liked Adeline’s hair!
